5 Star Certified

Subject to the terms and conditions set forth below, Trifecta’s 5-Star Certified products carry a lifetime warranty on parts only. Trifecta warrants the original End User purchaser that its 5-Star Certified products will be materially free from physical defects in hardware materials and workmanship under normal use and service for as long as the original End User owns the product.

Notwithstanding the preceding, the warranty for certified preowned 5-Star Certified products specified in this paragraph shall be limited as specified herein. Trifecta’s warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of physical hardware components. This warranty does not extend to, and Trifecta shall not be liable for, any loss of functionality caused by factors outside of Trifecta’s control, including but not limited to: OEM-embedded security certificate expirations (e.g., SHA-1, SHA-2, or similar), the cessation of OEM software/firmware support, or “end-of-life” logic triggers hard-coded by the manufacturer. Such events are classified as industry-wide technological obsolescence and do not constitute a “defect” under the terms of this warranty.

In addition, any devices that are required by the manufacturer to maintain a valid subscription for device functionality, support, and service, whether on-premises or in a cloud portal, are solely bound to the terms and conditions set forth by the respective manufacturer. Trifecta assumes no liability and does not extend hardware warranty coverage in the event such as a device is no longer supported by the manufacturer.

The warranty period for certified preowned 5-Star Certified solid-state drives, sold separately or as part of a configured product, is one (1) year.

This warranty does not cover defects or damages due to ordinary maintenance, normal wear and tear, cords, plastic casings, improper use, accidental damage, neglect, misuse, abuse, incorrect installation, unauthorized repair, alterations, or modifications, failure of or surges in electric power, conditions caused by abnormal temperature and/or humidity control, vandalism, negligence in transit or handling, acts of nature, or the failure of the product to operate due to OEM software limitations or security certificate validity.

The warranty period for 5-Star Certified products commences on the day of shipment. If products under this limited warranty are claimed to be defective, please notify Trifecta sales representative and request a return material authorization (RMA) to return the products by providing the serial number. For wireless products, Trifecta reserves the right to require documentation that the reported failure is due to physical hardware component failure and not an OEM-related certificate or software expiration issue before an RMA is authorized. Pursuant to the instructions on the RMA form, all products should be returned to the appropriate Trifecta Distribution Center.

Upon receipt of the products, Trifecta, at its sole discretion, will either choose to repair the products, supply a replacement, or credit the customer’s account. In the event of a valid hardware claim where the product has reached OEM-defined technological obsolescence or is no longer available in Trifecta’s inventory, Trifecta’s liability shall be limited to a pro-rated credit of the original purchase price. Trifecta will use its best efforts to provide an advanced replacement, subject to availability, for all eligible claims. All products returned to Trifecta must be packaged in packing materials that afford the same degree of protection from damage and electrical discharge as the original packaging materials. Removal of the serial number will VOID this warranty. Returned product must be received within ten (10) days of receipt of an advance replacement. Otherwise, the list price of the product will be charged. Returned products must match exactly with regard to the quantity, type, serial numbers, and/or bar codes of the products being replaced.
